OG--E Electric Services has named James Chappel the community affairs manager for Norman, Moore, Mustang and surrounding communities. As OG--E community affairs manager, he serves as the company's liaison with city, county and state government officials and represents the company in various communities, civic and economic development-related activities.

Chappel, a long-time Norman resident, replaces Sandra Longcrier who has joined the OG--E Smart Grid team in advance of deployment of the new technology in the Norman area and across the company's service area.



First State Bank has named Erin Juarez as Employee of the Month. Juarez joined the bank in February and serves as a teller at the Norman branch at 1600 W. Lindsey St. In addition to her teller duties, she assists the branch manager in compiling information for processing consumer loans.

Juarez is a 2004 Norman High graduate. She earned an associates in business from Oklahoma City Community College and attends the University of Oklahoma Price College of Business.
