Griffin hospital employees honored

Griffin Memorial Hospital recently recognized employees of the year at an employee banquet.

Awards were handed out in the Employee Dining Room by hospital administrator Randy May.

Five employees received $100 each from Rieger L.L.C., a Norman family-owned real estate and investment concern started by the late Dr. Joseph A. Rieger, a longtime psychiatrist and administrator at Central State Hospital. Additionally, one employee received $100 in savings bonds from First Fidelity Bank.

Griffin Memorial Hospital 2009 Employees of the Year are: Nurse of the Year, Elisabeth Parker; PCA of the Year, Eunice Geer; Administrative Support Employee of the year, Sheila Webb; Facility Support Employees of the Year, Mike Logston and Richard Steele; and Clinician of the Year, Dr. Julie Williams.

Visiting legislators attending were Sen. John Sparks and state Reps. Wallace Collins and Scott Martin.

Employee service awards were presented to:

Five years: Aldous M. Abellera, Glenn A. Collins, Kadiker R. Dahn, Ben K. Jangha, Marilyn S. Lovins, Dewayne E. Owen, Ruth E. Randol, David L. Stevenson, Clarence E. Waters, Sinda A. Rhodes, John L. Schoenbaum and Joyce A. Westbrook.

Ten years: Lucy S. Atakpo, Willie B Keywood and Alice Ann V. Stawicki

Fifteen years: Milo A. Cotledge, Charlene M. Henderson, Eleanor M. Howell, Terri L. Dye, Walter W. Hall and Rhonda S. Mays

Twenty years: Stanley P. Ardoin, Charley A. Harris, Renee Maricle

Twenty five years: Vickie A. Barnard, Richard Steele, Bobby L. Youngblood, John M. Eugley, Mark A. Graham, David B. Saltzman and Adela L. Settle
