About 40 workers and volunteers descended on Redbud Ridge Vineyard and Winery Saturday to help bring in the harvest. The small winery, the only producing one in the Norman city limits, harvested grapes for the fifth year.
The buckets of red grapes were quickly crushed and de-stemmed on the premises.
Redbud Ridge is owned and operated by Tom Knotts, an OU retiree who built the vineyard and winery on his own. He and his wife, Jann, live on the premises at 72nd Avenue SE and State Highway 9.
The buckets of red grapes were quickly crushed and de-stemmed on the premises. The winery is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. or by special arrangements by calling 306-9492.
