First American Bank has named Suzanne McAuley as vice president of community relations. McAuley will lend her skills to the development of marketing the bank's services and partnering with community organizations.
Prior to joining First American Bank, she was director of corporate and community partnerships for the University of Oklahoma's K20 Center.
McAuley is an active member of the Norman community serving on several boards including the K20 Center board of advisors, Norman Community Foundation, Norman Public Schools Foundation, Oklahoma Arts Institute and the United Way of Norman campaign cabinet. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Norman and Kappa Alpha Theta alumnae.
Norman resident Rob Garibay, licensed business coach and franchise owner with ActionCOACH, a business coaching company, recently was awarded a trip to Australia.
Garibay was a member of a three person team that exhibited the greatest percentage of business revenue growth in North America for the first half of 2008. The other business coach team members are Josette Goldberg (Chicago) and Dennis Wagner (Dallas).
Transcript cartoonist John Tullius has been named volunteer of the month by the Norman Chamber of Commerce. Tullius, a Norman native, was honored for his nine years of drawing cartoons of the chamber's membership drive chairperson to help promote the drive.
Barbara Self was awarded a 30-year J.D. McCarty Center service pin during the Norman facility's employee appreciation week. Self is a teacher's aide in the high school special education classroom at the McCarty Center. Richard Mann, director of social work, and Linda Darnell, accounts payable technician, were awarded 25-year McCarty Center service pins.
Larry Mullins, Dani Ferguson and Tina Martinez received 20-year McCarty Center service pins. Martinez, Elizabeth Wilson, Vanelle Kazimir and Joanne McCurley were awarded 20-year state service pins. Dr. Tom Thurston was presented a 15-year McCarty Center service pin while Kristi Obermiller was given a 15-year state service pin. Receiving 10-year McCarty Center service awards were Sue O'Hare, David Higdon and Maria Greenfield. O'Hare and Higdon also received 10-year state service recognition.
Five-year awards for McCarty Center service went to Jackson Laizure, Buddy Morgan, Nathan Peck, Jennifer Jaqua, Vanelle Kazimir, Bob Gsanger, Joanne McCurley and Doris Blair. Receiving 5-year state service pins were Kyle Weatherly, Savanah Barrett, John Knehans, Amanda Grady, Jaqua, Peck, Morgan and Laizure.
Hilary Castle, 23, has been named administrative officer at OnlineMedsource Inc. She comes to OMS with experience in running the day-to-day office operations of not only another business since her graduation from OU, but also as a contract photographer for a local oil company.
OnlineMedsource is a secure, Internet-based, medical history and record system owned by Agi Lurtz. The service allows patients to submit their medical data from home.
Kenneth and Terri McGehee and James K. Jetton and Debora Jetton-Pekker recently joined in the 20th anniversary celebration of Reliv International. The company has 69,000 distributors in 13 countries and integrates nutrition research into its products.
