NORMAN — Awen Academy of Ballet and Ballroom will begin ballet classes Monday, at their location at 2203 W. Main Street, Suite 16. The newest dance studio in Norman offers pre-professional ballet, social and competitive ballroom dance, wedding dance instruction and Zumba fitness.
Awen Academy offers music and movement classes in a “Mommy and Me” style for ages 2 and 3, a pre-ballet primary program for ages 4-7, and pre-professional ballet training for ages 8-19. Both the primary and pre-professional programs are taught using the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum. Additionally, there are community ballet classes for adults and teens wishing to take a fun class with a relaxed atmosphere.
Awen Academy also offers Zumba fitness from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday and 2-3 p.m. Sunday. Wedding dance and private ballroom instruction are offered by appointment.
