NORMAN — The Norman National Resource Conservation Service Field Office and the Cleveland County Conservation District hosted a pond workshop Thursday.
The workshop targeted producers who were looking to construct a new pond or just improve an existing one, according to a news release from Donna Neumeyer, district conservationist.
Steven Smith, Noble Foundation, discussed pond vegetation and goals/objectives while Neumeyer provided information on NRCS programs and services.
Also, Gene Gilliand, Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, conducted information on pond management. The organization received inquires on future workshops from some of the attendees.
The workshop was held with the assistance of the Noble Foundation and the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation.
