NORMAN — The Norman Traffic Control Division will replace the traffic signal controller cabinet Thursday at the Alameda Street intersection with Triad Village Drive, weather permitting.
After 9 a.m., the intersection will be controlled by a four-way stop sign. Signal operation should be restored before noon.
Norman has an annual program to replace and upgrade three traffic signal controllers each year, which is intended to improve the reliability, technology and maintainability of the city’s system of more than 130 traffic signals. This cabinet replacement is the second cabinet from the FYE 2012 cabinet replacement program.
