League of Women Voters to sponsor candidate forum

The public is invited to participate in a Mayoral/City Council candidate forum sponsored by the Norman League of Women Voters from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 201 W. Gray St.

Expected to participate are candidates running for city wards and mayor: Tom Kovach, Ward 2; Jack Dawson, Austin Dyches and Carol Dillingham, Ward 4; Jim Griffith and Matt Zellner, Ward 6; Steven Lucas, Dan Quinn and Leonard Youngblood, Ward 8; and Hal Ezzell and Cindy Rosenthal, mayor.

The forum will begin with all ward candidates making brief opening remarks, answering written questions from the audience directed to a specific ward, and ending with closing remarks. Mayoral candidates also will give opening remarks, answer questions directed just to them and give closing remarks.

The forum will be taped by and shown on Cox Cable Channel 20.

The League encourages all registered voters to go to the polls on Tuesday, March 2, and vote in the Primary Election.
