Norman's Parents Helping Parents is hosting its fifth installment of a six-part series on drug and alcohol abuse among young people 7 p.m. Thursday at the Norman Public Schools' Administration Curriculum Building, 131 S. Flood Ave.
This session will be about treatment options and resources to help families. Panelists include Tiffany Couch, associate director at Norman Addiction Information -- Counseling; Julie Willingham, regional marketing coordinator with Sante Center for Healing; and Ron Tewksbury, interventionist with Oklahoma Outreach.
Parents Helping Parents is a network of parents and others concerned about the issues surrounding substance abuse in young people. The group promotes prevention and intervention, collaborative efforts and increased access to information/services, and support.
