Lexington candidate files

NORMAN — Seven people have filed for political office in Cleveland County municipalities.

In Moore, Wards 1, 2 and 3 are up for grabs for four-year terms. Filing were: Ward 1, Carl D. Britton Jr., 29, 308 Madison Place Drive; Ward 2, Scott A. Singer, 61, 1116 NE 25th St.; and Ward 3, incumbent Jason Blair, 34, 1704 SW 31st Terrace.

In Slaughterville, filing for the trustee full four-year term was incumbent John P. Koehler, 62, 6701 108th Ave. SE, and for the unexpired two-year term was Roy A. Shobert, 52, 8701 120th Ave. SE, and Curtis Baker, 57, 8130 Timber Oaks.

Dennis Mitchell, 51, 424 W. Catalpa St. in Lexington filed Tuesday morning for the Ward 3 position of Lexington’s town council. No candidates filed for Ward 4 in Lexington at this time. Both are four-year terms.

Candidates have until 5 p.m. today to file at the Cleveland County Election Board, 641 E. Robinson St., Suite 200. More information is available at 366-0210.

Candidates filing for office will be required to complete a Declaration of Candidacy form available for download on the Cleveland County Election Board website, www.clevelandcountyelectionboard.com. Forms also are available at the office.
