NORMAN — The City Traffic Control Division will replace the traffic signal controller cabinet at the Lindsey Street intersection with McGee Drive today, weather permitting.
After 9 a.m., the intersection will be controlled by a four-way stop sign. Signal operation should be restored before noon. The cabinet replacement is needed to fully support the recently installed flashing yellow arrows at the intersection.
The ongoing flashing yellow arrow project is part of an ongoing $300,000 project, funded with 100 percent Federal Safety funds, to upgrade a total of 57 intersections within the city to flashing yellow arrows.
