NORMAN — Three members of the OU Political Science faculty will discuss the “Cuban Missile Crisis at 50” on Thursday.
Community members are encouraged to share their personal memories of how they were impacted. The discussion, titled “The Cuban Missile Crisis at 50 — What lessons for today’s nuclear challenges?” will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday in the Community Room in Zarrow Hall, Elm Street and Brooks Avenue.
Participants include the causes and development of the Cuban Missile Crisis from the Cuban perspective, Charles Kenney; the Russian perspective, Paul Goode; the U.S. perspective, Jonathan Monten; and current nuclear challenges, Josh Landis.
