Cleveland County Sheriff Joe Lester said detectives and deputies are searching for a man who attempted to force his way into a home in rural Noble Thursday. Deputies responded to the home on Oklahoma 39 near Lexington, after a receiving a call that someone was attempting to break in.
Lester said the home's occupant kept the intruder at bay and outside the home while calling the sheriff's office for help. The occupant identified the suspect as Donald Standridge, 30, and reported that Standridge was last seen running from the residence dressed in black clothing and carrying a dark backpack.
Information obtained from a preliminary investigation leads deputies to believe Standridge is possibly suicidal and should be considered dangerous, Lester said. Standridge may be driving a green Toyota Camry. The license tag is unknown.
Lester said a charge of attempted breaking and entering has been filed against Standridge in Cleveland County District Court. Deputies are seeking his location.
Anyone with information regarding the location of Standridge is asked to call the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office at 321-8600.
