Races form in school board election

Every local school board position up for election in February will be filled, after two more people filed for the offices Wednesday on the last day they could.

Elizabeth D. Moore, 6151 Dunford Lane, filed for office No. 3 of Robin Hill School District. She will run uncontested for the three-year position.

Karen Shuey filed a declaration of candidacy for office No. 5 in Moore Public Schools. She will run uncontested for the three-year term.

Only one race formed in local school board elections as candidates filed with the election board Monday through Wednesday.

Ryan Leroy Lukinbill, 9501 Slaughterville Road in Lexington, will face off against Kim Adams, 7250 High Meadow in Noble, in office No. 5 of Noble Public Schools Board of Education. This position is a five-year term.

Other candidates who filed this week but will be uncontested for their positions are:

· Mike Wright, 1317 Northridge Road, filed for office No. 3 on the Board of Education for Moore Public School District.

· Linda Sexton, 702 Morningside Drive, for a five-year term on Norman Public Schools Board of Education in seat No. 5.

· Glen Cosper, 2024 SW 31st in Moore, for a five-year term for the Moore-Norman Technology Center No. 17 in seat No. 5.

· Ronnie Beason, 19900 SE 180th in Wanette, for a five-year term in office No. 5 of Lexington Public Schools.

· Kandy Milette, 120 Parkcrest Ct. in Noble, for a two-year term for office No. 2 for Noble Public Schools.

· Jim Gard, 19001 E. Tecumseh Road in Newalla, for a five-year term in office No. 5 of Little Axe Public Schools.
