McLarty is guest speaker for GOP women
The Cleveland County Republican Women's Club will hold its last general meeting of the year 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. at The Olive Garden Restaurant in Norman.
Guest speaker will be Oklahoma's National Committeewoman Carolyn McLarty. McLarty will inform the group about the National meetings she has attended and what is happening on the national level.
Other business will be elections for the 2010 Board of Officers and the final details on the club's Christmas luncheon, scheduled 2 p.m. Dec. 6.
The guest speaker for the luncheon will be retired Major General LaRita Aragon. The installation of 2010 Board of Officers will be conducted by Republican State Party Vice Chairman Angie LaPlante.

Canadian Valley Tech Center board filing set
Candidates for the No. 2 seat on the Canadian Valley Technology Center Board of Education may file for election Dec. 7 through Dec. 9 at the Election Board in El Reno.
Hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Candidates must reside within Yukon, the southeast tip of Piedmont, the northwest part of Mustang and the Bethany school districts.
