Storm Water Master Plan nears completion

The Norman City Council will consider acceptance data and maps included in the Storm Water Master Plan and the certain principles outlined in the Greenway Master Plan 6:30 p.m. Nov. 10 in the Municipal Building, City Council Chambers, 201 W. Gray St.

The action follows more than two years of plan development, citizen task force meetings and multiple public forums.

The city's consultant, Post, Buckley, Schuh and Jernigan, will make a brief presentation describing the final report of the Storm Water Master Plan.

Sub-consultant Halff Associates, Inc. will make comments regarding the Greenway Master Plan.

The presentation will cover a number of topics, including Storm Water Phase II regulations, Trails/Greenbelt Master Plan, new flood plain mapping, capital improvement projects, proposed water quality enhancements, drainage easement issues and financing options.

The public will have an opportunity to make comments.

Printed copies of the Storm Water Master Plan and the Greenway Master Plan are available for review at four locations as follow: Norman Public Library, 225 N. Webster Ave.; Norman Chamber of Commerce, 115 E. Gray St.; City of Norman, City Clerk's office, 201 W. Gray St.; and the City of Norman, Public Work's Department, 201 W. Gray St., Building A.

Versions of these reports will be available for download on the City of Norman's Web site soon, but a CD is also available for $1 and can be picked up at 201 W. Gray St., Building A.
