The Cleveland County Health Department recently announced it has expanded the populations to receive the H1N1 vaccine.
Effective Monday, priority groups will include the following:
· All children 6 months to 18 years of age
· Pregnant women
· Custodial parents of infants under 6 months of age
· People aged 19-64 years with chronic medical conditions such as chronic pulmonary disease, renal dysfunction, diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease and immunosuppressive illnesses
The schedules for upcoming clinics for the expanded populations are as follows:
· 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Norman Health Department, 250 12th Ave. N.E.;
· 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Moore Health Department, 224 S. Chestnut Ave.;
· 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Norman and Moore Health Departments;
· 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Norman Health Department;
Additional seasonal flu vaccine and H1N1 vaccine for adults should be available by the end of November.
