Holiday Showcase features vendors, Taste of Noble event

NORMAN — Noble is ready for the third annual annual Noble Holiday Showcase set for today.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at Curtis Inge Middle School.

The event is a way for vendors and businesses to come together in one place to showcase their wares for shoppers who will be entertained by local groups. Kim Adams, event committee member, said 40 to 50 vendors are expected to attend this year, showing jewelry, clothes, pottery, candles, clothes, Bear wear and cake balls, to name a few items.

Gift wrapping, face painting, and pictures with Santa will be available at the event. The Noble High School choir and band will perform as will the Roustabouts dance troupe and show choir from Northern Oklahoma College.

Noble’s 2 Legit Dance Studio will also be on hand to entertain the crowd as will the Rose Rock Queen.

This year, a new addition to the showcase is an art class and silent auction.

The ever-popular Taste of Noble highlights local restaurants while curbing shoppers' holiday hunger pangs. Brian Houck of New Leaf Nutrition is coordinating this year's tasting event and says he will be offering nutritious treats.

Other participating local restaurants will offer their specialties including Pizza Peddlers, Big Daddy's Smokehouse, Jemz Cupcakes, Sonic, Kendall's Pizza Hut, Subway and Donut Palace.

Lunchgoers are invited to sample three dishes plus a dessert and a drink for $6 in advance or $10 at the door. Advanced tickets may be purchased at New Leaf Nutrition, 301 N. Main St., Suite A, Houck said.

The Showcase has a broad base of partners including the Noble Public School Foundation, the Healthy Noble Partnership, the Noble Public Schools, the Noble Public Library, the City of Noble, Noble Now and the Noble Chamber of Commerce.

For more information, contact Kim Adams at 405-205-8868 or Gail Hilty at 405-526-7722.
