Organizers of a group opposed to the Obama administration say they are planning an Independence Day rally at the state Capitol.
Patty McAlister said she and others will host the Sooner Tea Party rally at 10 a.m. Saturday. Group members plan to express their displeasure at the Obama Administration's spending practices.
McAlister said citizens should express their views on the day set aside to recognize America's independence from Great Britain.
The group particiated in a similar rally April 15 outside the Capitol. That event attracted about 4,000, supporters said
McAlister said the rally will be on the south steps outside the Capitol. It's scheduled to conclude at noon. She said the event will feature patriotic music and comments from four speakers.
