Architecture open house set
The OU College of Architecture will host an open house at its "Arc-on-Main" facility, 559 W. Main St., Friday afternoon.
The gathering, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., will celebrate the last five years of student work which was organized for the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) visit two weeks ago.
All accredited architecture programs go through this process every five or six years to keep their accreditation. NAAB has a mission to provide leadership in, and the establishment of, educational quality assurance standards to enhance the value, relevance, and effectiveness of the architectural profession.
Local architects Ben Graves and Fred Schmidt participated as part of the review team.
Examples of current student work as well as work from the last five years will be on display in the main hall of the old Hobby Lobby building, as well as in the gallery in Room 116.
