Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford announced Wednesday afternoon he will return for his junior season. The 2008 Heisman Trophy winner had been projected as a first-round pick in April's NFL draft.
Bradford's announcement came one day before the deadline for underclassmen to make themselves available for the draft.
Bradford also let it slip that junior tight end Jermaine Gresham will also return to the team.
Earlier Wednesday Oklahoma offensive tackle Trent Williams announced he will return for his senior season.
"I just want to win," Williams told ESPN.com. "I have been left with a sour taste in my mouth. Not a lot of people win a championship and I want to win a championship. I also promised my mom I would graduate. And I think I can improve my draft stock."
Williams will be the only returning starter on OU's offensive line next season. Williams, who's played right tackle the past three seasons, was projected as a second- or third-round pick by the NFL draft advisory board.
He's expected to play left tackle next season. Moving to the offensive line's glamour position should allow him to improve his stock.
