Junior zookeeper camps this month

Transcript Staff

Children ages 5-14 can get a hands-on look at zookeeping at Little River Zoo's zookeeper camp 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 10.

Children will have the opportunity to work with real zookeepers, interact with a variety of animals residing at the zoo, hike along the trails of the zoo's Cross-Timber woodlands, create enrichment toys for the animals and develop social skills.

Jan. 10's camp, Creature Features, will focus on discovering the variety of adaptations for living in different types of environments.

The Little River Zoo, south of State Highway 9 on 120th Avenue, is open daily 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
