Oklahoma leaped to No. 2 in the latest BCS standings released at 3:35 p.m. Sunday and will represent the Big 12 South in next Saturday’s Big 12 championship game in Kansas City, Mo.
The Sooners were No. 2 in the USA Today coaches poll and No. 4 in the Harris Interactive poll. Texas was No. 3 in both polls. The two human polls comprise two-thirds of the BCS formula.
