Police say woman charged cruises on employer's account

A Mustang woman was charged Wednesday with writing thousands of dollars' worth of checks and charging two ship cruises on her employer's account.

Laurie Renee Davis, 40, was arrested at a bank in south Oklahoma City, where she allegedly was trying to cash an $800 check on her employer's business account. Her employer was at the bank at the time and contacted police, according to court records.

Police said the employer reviewed bank statements and discovered Davis had been taking money from and making charges to the account for more than a year. Police said some of the charges included a $2,174 check written to a department store, vehicle rentals totaling $7,158 and two Carnival Cruises for the defendant's family, taken July 5, 2007, and Aug. 31, 2007, for a total of $11,752.

Other felony charges filed Wednesday include:

· Tronn Ablaza Camua, 22, Oklahoma City, first-degree rape;

· Robert Larue Williams, 45, first-degree burglary; assault with a dangerous weapon;

· Christy Renae Staggs, 28, Seminole, attempting to obtain money by false pretenses;

· Melissa Jo McMichael, 34, Oklahoma City, unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous drugs;

· Aaron Floyd Larbee, 24, Spring Creek, second-degree burglary.
