Native Oklahoman comedian Argus Hamilton will perform during "A Night of Comedy" benefiting the Norman Addiction Information and Counseling (NAIC).
The event is set for 7 p.m. Oct 17 at The Kerr McGee Courtside Club at the Lloyd Noble Center.
Hamilton is known for his satire, topical comedy and political humor. He has been called, "The Will Rogers of the baby boom" and his humor column, now in its 15th year, appears six days a week on the Internet and in more than 100 newspapers across the United States, including The Transcript.
"Argus is a great comedian, and his political humor will be particularly topical right before our national elections," said H.N. "Sonny" Scott, executive director of NAIC.
Individual tickets are $50 and corporate/sponsor tables are available for $1,000 and $500 (eight seats per table). Call Tiffany Couch or Teresa Seal at 321-0022 for more information, to reserve a seat, or to be a sponsor for the event.
NAIC provides help and hope to individuals, families and communities affected by alcohol, drugs and other addictive behaviors. More information is available at the NAIC website: www.naichelp.org.
