NEW:OU receives $1.5 million from ONEOK

The University of Oklahoma Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy has received a $1.5 million contribution from Tulsa-based ONEOK, Inc..

The gift will support OU’s Natural Gas Engineering and Management Program. It includes $1 million to create the ONEOK Natural Gas Engineering and Management Program Endowment and $500,000, which qualify to be matched by the State Regents Endowment Program, to establish the ONEOK Chair in Natural Gas Engineering and Management. 

  “We are deeply appreciative of this very significant and far-reaching investment in our Natural Gas Engineering and Management Program,” said OU President David L. Boren.  “ONEOK’s gift continues the company’s longstanding legacy of generosity to the University of Oklahoma and marks a new era for the Natural Gas Engineering and Management Program and its students.”
