Maria Marcotte, a member of Justin's Lighthouse, a faith-based residential leadership academy and training center for adolescent males in Oklahoma City will be guest speaker at the Norman Chapter of Parents Helping Parents. The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday in the private dining room at Golden Corral, 123 N. Interstate Drive.??
Parents Helping Parents is a network of parents and others concerned about alcohol/substance abuse among young people -- both adolescents and adult children, said PHP board member and treasurer Ann Benson.
"This group offers hope through shared experience, resources and education," Benson said.
Parents Helping Parents is devoted to educating parents and community members about the issues surrounding adolescent alcohol/drug abuse. Everyone is welcome to attend. For more information, call Benson at 278-1221 or go to the PHP Web site: www.ParentsHelpingParents.info.
