A Norman man was charged Thursday in connection with an alleged burglary and assault on a Norman resident last month.
Raymond Eugene Ford, 22, was charged in Cleveland County District Court with first-degree burglary. Police said Ford and an unidentified man entered a residence in the 1800 block of Beaumont Drive June 22. Ford allegedly punched the resident and picked up a vacuum and hit the man over the back with it. Police said the victim was bleeding from a bump on the left side of his head and had abrasions on his back.
A warrant was issued for Ford's arrest. Police said Ford left before officers arrived.
Other felonies filed recently include:
· Ryan Gary Ayochate Bear, 22, Moore, feloniously pointing a weapon; possession or control of a firearm with a removed or defaced serial number;
· Allen Ray Idell Jr., 31, Lexington, second-degree burglary; knowingly concealing stolen property;
· Justin Christopher Harrison, 20, Norman, knowingly concealing stolen property; unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance;
