Oklahoma City -- When Oklahoma's graduating kindergartners bring home their report cards, parents can reward them with a trip to Science Museum Oklahoma in Oklahoma City courtesy of the Oklahoma College Savings Plan.

The OCSP is offering parents of graduating kindergartners a coupon to visit the Science Museum (formerly the Omniplex) this summer. The buy one adult general admission get one child general admission free coupon is OCSP's way of reminding parents now is the time to consider opening an account or increasing their contributions to their child's 529 college savings account.

"The end of the school year is the perfect opportunity to reflect on what you're doing to save for your child's college education," said State Treasurer Scott Meacham chair of the OCSP board of trustees. "The Oklahoma College Savings Plan makes it easy to open an account, change your investment options or increase your contributions, so you can be satisfied that you're accomplishing your college savings goals."

Meacham says OCSP chose a coupon offer to the Science Museum because it offers an educational experience for children of all ages. Parents or grandparents of graduating kindergartners can print the coupon from the OCSP Web site www.ok4saving.org. The offer runs through July 31.

"A visit to the Science Museum is a great way to extend your child's education into the summer months," said Meacham. "And the OCSP is one of the best ways available to Oklahomans to save for a college education and a brighter more successful future for their child."

"We are excited to partner with the Oklahoma College Savings Plan on this coupon offer to the Museum," said Shaundra North, communications coordinator for Science Museum Oklahoma. "With the new offerings the Museum will unveil this summer, kindergartners and their families will be able to continue the discovery of science as a fun, engaging family experience."
