Donations sought for sale

Crossroads Youth and Family Services (YFS) Inc. is seeking community donations of gently used household goods or furniture for its second annual, citywide garage sale, scheduled 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 12 at 1333 W. Main St.?

This event is being held in conjunction with April's Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Crossroads YFS is a private, nonprofit agency that operates an emergency youth shelter for abused and neglected children, counseling programs for children and their families, and Head Start/Early Head Start early childhood programs for children, birth to five years of age. All garage sale proceeds will benefit programs and services of the agency.

Donated clothing needs to be clean, in good condition and hanging on a clothes hanger.?Donations can be dropped off at the Main Street location between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.?Tax receipt forms will be available.

Questions about the garage sale or donations should be directed to Jonnina Benson, director of volunteer services, at 292-6440, ext. 223.
