NOBLE — A Thursday night collision in the 12300 block of Maguire Road killed one person and sent two others to the hospital, Highway Patrol officials said.

The wreck happened at 10:51 p.m. Thursday, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Shaun Estep, 39, Noble, was pronounced dead at the scene.

OHP Trooper Corey Miner’s report stated Estep was driving a 1994 Jeep eastbound on Maguire Road when the vehicle drifted left of center and struck a westbound 2001 pickup driven by Michael Hanson, 27, Noble.

Hanson suffered internal injuries and was transported by MediFlight to OU Medical Center, according to Miner’s collision report. The driver was listed in serious condition.

Toni Clapp, 31, a passenger in the pickup, also suffered internal injuries. She was transported from the scene by Noble EMS to Norman Regional Medical Center, the Highway Patrol said. She was also listed in serious condition.

Noble firefighters had to cut the door off the pickup to free Hanson, according to the OHP. Clapp was not pinned inside the wreckage.

The OHP reported Estep was the only person not wearing a seat belt. Maguire Road remained closed while the Highway Patrol and state medical examiner’s office investigated the crash.
