Conley has completed the requirements for the rank of Eagle Scout. He is the son of Dr. Terry Conley and Dr. Santa Velez-Conley of Norman. Both parents are active with the troop.

He also served as patrol leader of the Dragon Patrol. He came to Troop 245 from Cub Scout Pack 239, where he earned the rank of Webelos and received the Arrow of Light award.
For his Eagle service project Conley supervised campground improvements at Kiwanis Youth Park in east Norman. Picnic tables were cleaned and painted and campfire rings were installed at three campsites, drainage improvements were made around water taps at two campsites, campsite signage was fabricated and installed, and a "Leave No Trace" display was erected in the picnic shelter. Conley received help from many of the Scouts and parents in Troop 245.
Conley has earned 31 merit badges, including the 21 required to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. He also has earned the Bronze Palm and is a member of the Order of the Arrow Manu Lodge 133. He has earned the 50-Miler and Historic Trails awards and the Polar Bear Camping patch.
He has participated in numerous Scouting activities, including collecting donations for Food for Scouting and participating in popcorn and Christmas wreath sales and other Troop 245 fundraisers. He has accumulated over 97 days and nights of camping, including numerous weekend outings, two canoe trips on the Illinois River, three years' attendance at Trapper's Rendezvous in Kansas, and attended summer camps at Slippery Falls Scout Ranch, Tom Hale Scout Reservation and Medicine Mountain Scout Ranch in South Dakota. Along with his father and 10 other crew members, Conley completed a 70 mile trek at Philmont Scout Ranch in 2003, and he will return to Philmont in June accompanied by his father and younger brother Kevin, who is a Life Scout in Troop 245.
Conley is member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church and is an active youth group participant. A junior at Norman North High School, Conley is a member of the National Honor Society, National Honor Roll, Latin Club, Who's Who Among American High School Students, and Spanish National Honor Society.
