A Norman woman is being held at the Cleveland County Detention Center for allegedly stabbing her brother during an altercation Sunday morning.
Jennifer N. Jones, 19, of Norman, was booked into CCDC Sunday for assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
According to the Norman Police Department's daily activity report, police, firefighters and emergency services were sent to 2104 W. Brooks St. 7:16 a.m. Sunday in regards to the stabbing.
Norman Police Capt. Leonard Judy said Jones and her brother, Christopher Jones, 19, had been out with a couple of friends.
"They came back to the apartment and sometime after they arrived back at the apartment, it appears according to the investigation that an altercation appeared to have occurred between the siblings," Judy said.
Jones allegedly secured a knife and stabbed her brother in the shoulder, Judy said.
A police report indicates Jones suffered a minor cut to her hand.
"They were both transported to Norman Regional Hospital for treatment," Judy said.
Judy said he did not know what the argument was about or what led to the stabbing. Both were treated and released from the hospital. Jones was taken from the hospital to CCDC.
