NORMAN — Noble Farmers Market opens its season today.
The market, 304 S. Main Highway 77 in Noble, will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays from now until October.
The Noble Farmers Market is recognized as an Oklahoma Grown market.
According to the Oklahoma Grown website, www.okgrown.com, the number of Oklahoma farmers’ markets has more than doubled in recent years. Many of the markets — such as Noble Farmers Market — are 100 percent Oklahoma-grown.
Fresh, locally grown produce and other foods are in demand from consumers who are becoming more health conscious and desire to improve their eating habits, according to www.okgrown.com.
