NORMAN — Charges related to lewd acts to a child were filed against two Cleveland County men Thursday at the Cleveland County Court Clerk’s Office.

Ryan Joe Knight, 23, of Moore, was charged with second-degree rape and lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16. An arrest warrant for Knight has been issued.

The charges filed said the incidents occurred around May 1. The first count, second degree rape, stated that Knight had engaged in intercourse with a 14-year-old female. The affidavit stated the two were involved in a dating relationship.

The second count, lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16, stated that Knight was knowingly and intentionally lying in bed with the same victim during the same incident, both unclothed, in a lewd or lascivious manner.

In a separate case, Donnie Ray Hoelscher, 69, of Lexington, was charged with lewd or indecent proposals to a child under 16. The charge filed stated the incident occurred around Sept. 1. The document stated that Hoelscher unlawfully, knowingly, intentionally and feloniously made an oral indecent proposal to an 8-year-old female.
