Norman — Norman firefighters are investigating a fire late Wednesday that burned a bedroom in a house on Cook Avenue.
Norman Deputy Fire Chief Jim Bailey said the fire was reported at 11:57 p.m. Wednesday at 406 Cook Ave. Limited details were available about the blaze because the report was incomplete Thursday.
Bailey said it appears the fire started in the bedroom. It’s unknown if anyone was inside the residence when the blaze broke out.
Firefighters from three stations were summoned to the scene, Bailey said. Fire personnel remained at the residence until 1:37 a.m. Thursday. Bailey said the house sustained smoke damage. A preliminary estimate of damage was not available.
