Norman — Cleveland County prosecutors have filed multiple felony sex charges against two men in separate cases.
Each man is accused of sexually abusing a young girl.
The charges were filed Wednesday in Cleveland County District Court, according to court documents.
Prosecutors charged Gary Joe Conrad, 57, of Newalla, with six counts of child sexual abuse. The charges accuse Conrad of sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl from June 12 through Dec. 31, 2009.
According to a court affidavit that accompanied the charges, the girl told investigators the abuse happened at Conrad’s former home in Oklahoma County and continued when he moved into his Newalla home. The girl is now 14 years old.
Conrad is accused of abusing the girl at least 30 times at his Oklahoma County home. The girl told investigators that Conrad abused her 40 times at his new house, according to the affidavit.
Conrad’s whereabouts are unknown.
An employee at the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Department said Conrad was not listed on the Cleveland County Detention Center’s jail roster Wednesday. Records did not indicate a warrant had been issued for his arrest.
In an unrelated case, prosecutors charged Jonathan C. Pergande, 32, of Norman, with three counts of first-degree rape by instrumentation and a single count of first-degree rape, court records show.
According to the filed charges, Pergande allegedly raped an 8-year-old girl in January 2003. The abuse continued for three years.
The charges also accuse Pergande of abusing the girl on different occasions from Dec. 14, 2007, to Dec. 14, 2008, and March 1, through May 1, 2008.
According to court documents, the girl is now 15-years old
Records show a warrant was issued Wednesday for Pergande’s arrest.
