City will pick up debris

NORMAN — Norman citizens are asked to have storm debris from the April 13 tornado placed on public rights of way before 7 a.m. Monday.

Damages to the turf along the street rights of way will be repaired by the city’s debris removal contractor.

Only residential properties located in the identified tornado path are eligible for debris removal.

Residents are reminded to keep vegetative debris separated from construction and demolition debris, as they will be collected separately.

Construction and demolition debris includes building materials such as lumber, roof shingles, wooden fences, glass and metal products as well as appliances and furniture.

Bagged debris should not be placed on public rights of way. Only loose debris will be collected.
