Hearing date set for Southmoore sexting suspect

NORMAN — A Southmoore High School employee accused of sexting is free on bail and scheduled for a court proceeding May 15.

Tiffany Lynne Huffman, 28, of Yukon, is to report to the Cleveland County District Attorney’s Office for her preliminary hearing conference.

She has been charged with three felony counts of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16.

Special District Judge Steven Stice on Monday scheduled the conference date.

Huffman was released on $50,000 bond on Friday from the Rogers County Jail. Federal marshals arrested her at a family member’s residence on April 26 in Claremore.

An official with the district attorney’s office said there is no information to indicate that the county will pursue additional charges, despite the U.S. Marshals Service deeming Huffman a fugitive.

Huffman was never transferred to the F. DeWayne Beggs Detention Center, Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Meghan McCormick wrote in an email.

According to court documents, attorney J. David Ogle is representing Huffman. Assistant District Attorney Susan Caswell is representing the state.
