Norman man charged with lewd acts to child

NORMAN — A Norman man was charged Tuesday in Cleveland County District Court with lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16.

Ramiro Lopez-Ramos, 36, allegedly touched a girl “in a lewd or lascivious manner” between the ages of 11 and 12. The charge filed states that the act occurred on or between April 4, 2010, and Nov. 20, 2011.

According to the affidavit, Ramos admitted to touching the girl once when she was 11.

“This confession stemmed from an investigation conducted in response to an allegation from (the juvenile) who claims multiple incidents of sexual abuse by Ramiro, disclosed in a forensic interview,” the affidavit stated.

A warrant of arrest for Ramos has been issued and a bond of $50,000 has been set by Special Judge Steve Stice at the Cleveland County Courthouse. The case has been automatically assigned to District Judge Tracy Schumacher.
