Bowling enthusiasts rewarded

NORMAN — A group of bowling enthusiasts got together recently to help the Norman Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association raise money for their programs.

It didn’t hurt that they had fun while they were at it. The event was hosted in November at Sooner Bowling Lanes.

Participating teams and their captains were:

· Slot Junkies, Carolyn Daniels

· Grease Monkies, Shawn Sluever

· Strikes & a Spare, Phil Clark

· Bling Bling, JoAnn Arps

· Fit w/ Vic, Vicki Tri

· XXX Rated, Margaret Schwab

· McClain Bandits, Margie Keely

· The Fab Four, Ethan Anthony

Trophy winners for the evening were Slot Junkies, first place; XXX Rated, second; Slot Junkies, Best Dressed; and Bling Bling, Worst Team.

Door prizes were won by Linda Williams, Terry Newton, Keli Gillette, Danielle Davis and Margaret Mantooth-Schwab

Margaret Mantooth-Schwab won a drawing for a $50 Amway certificate.

Donations, contributors and sponsors included:

· Gene and Judy McKown, Ron’s Automotive, Sam’s Club, Homeland on Main Street, Homeland on Lindsey Street, Huntington Jewelers and Thomas Underground Service.
