NORMAN — The victim of a Sunday night stabbing in the Triad Village area of East Norman remained hospitalized Monday afternoon, police said.
Police said the 33-year-old Norman man did not suffer life-threatening injuries. A suspect has been identified, but an arrest has not been made yet. The incident occurred at 11:50 p.m. on the 1400 block of Bill Caroll Drive
The suspect also was taken to the hospital. A Norman police officer guarded the room Monday morning while the suspect was being treated.
The suspect has since been released from the hospital and the Norman Police Department’s custody. Mental health issues were involved in the release of the suspect, police said.
Norman Police Captain Tom Easley said due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, the names of the victim and suspect cannot be released.
