Students at Whittier Middle School will perform their original work Thursday in "We Thought; Therefore, We Acted Remix," 7 p.m. today in the speech and drama room.
All sixth through eight grade students had the chance to submit original or found skits or monologues for the production. Auditions were held in early January. Nine scenes made the final cut. All but one are originals written by students.
Scenes to be presented are: "Penelope's Reunion," "Mrs. Claus Dumps Santa," "Granny Smackdown," "Keepsake," "Confessions of Bella," "Hotel Le France," "Barney Heppning and the Flashlight Thieves," "Babysitter Surprise" and "Airborne."
Tickets will be sold at the door. Cost for adults is $3 and cost for students high school age and younger is $1. Whittier Middle School is at 2000 W. Brooks St.
