NORMAN — Norman’s Center for Children and Families Inc. has received a grant from the Oklahoma Community Service Commission to support the hiring of three Oklahoma Serves AmeriCorps members who will serve with the organization for a one-year time period.
The AmeriCorps members at CCFI will work to advance the agency’s Neighborhood Centers programs in partnership with the City of Norman and Norman Public Schools. AmeriCorps members working at CCFI include University of Oklahoma graduate Kristi McClatchy, junior Katie Tracy and sophomore Joey Swanson.
The next opportunity to learn more about and support the Neighborhood Centers program will be 7 p.m. today at Celtic Autumn, an event sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Community Church and the Norman Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. The event will take place at the NUUF, 1309 W. Boyd St. Donations made at the event will benefit CCFI’s Neighborhood Centers program.
