Members of Journey Church are organizing a benefit garage sale for Haiti.
The collection of belongings from church members will be sold Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at A+ Storage, 2002 Research Park Blvd., said Rachelle Metcalf, a member of the group organizing the event.
"We've got lots of clothes, some furniture, some kids toys," Metcalf said. She noted that more donations are still arriving so what all gets a price sticker come Friday is still unknown. Donations will also be accepted during the two days of the sale.
The money raised will be sent to "Mission of Hope" in Haiti. This organization oversees a school, church, orphanage and other ministries in Haiti. For more information on the charity, visit missionofhopehaiti.org.
