Blaze damages home

NORMAN — Norman Firefighters responded to a residential fire call early Saturday morning to find the back third portion of a mobile home on fire.

The call came it around 3:30 a.m. at 1200 Ed Noble Parkway in Turtle Creek Mobile Home Park.

When firefighters entered the structure to perform search and rescue, no one was found inside the home.

Deputy Fire Chief Jim Bailey said crews later found two female occupants who had escaped the home unharmed. No injuries were reported.

Preliminary damage is estimated to be $20,000 to $30,000 for the structure and $10,000 for the contents. The fire is currently under investigation by the Norman Fire Marshals office.

Sixteen firefighters, Norman Police and EMSStat responded to the blaze.
