Norman — Former longtime lawmaker Cal Hobson of Lexington left the Legislature in 2007 because of term limits. He now is serving as executive director of operations at University of Oklahoma Outreach.
Hobson said he is speaking out as an individual and his views do not necessarily represent those of OU.
Elected to the state House in 1978, Hobson served in the Senate starting in 1990 and was Senate president pro tempore from 2003-2005. He left the Legislature in 2006 because of term limits.
