Norman — Norman police are investigating an alleged assault that sent one person to the hospital with cuts late Wednesday night.
According to the Norman Police Department’s daily activity report, an assault with weapon was reported to police at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday at 509 Inwood Drive.
About the same time, firefighters and EMSStat paramedics were dispatched to the intersection of Fleetwood and Bedford drives.
Officers were told a 41-year-old man assaulted a 44-year-old man, said Norman Master Police Officer Jennifer Newell. The investigation is continuing, Newell said.
Newell said the victim suffered cuts to his shoulders and arms. EMSStat paramedics transported him to Norman Regional Hospital.
The victim’s injuries did not appear life threatening, she said. There was no indication if the victim remained in the hospital or had been released Thursday.
Newell said alcohol may have been involved.
