NORMAN — Norman’s annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the southwest parking lot of the Lloyd Noble Center.
Residents coming to the event need to enter either from Jenkins or Chautauqua on the south side of Lloyd Noble Center at G. T. Blankenship Blvd. The free event is being offered to Norman residents only. Proof of residence is required.
Many items will be accepted, such as oil, paint, kerosene, cleaners, pharmaceuticals in original containers with personal information marked through, pool chemicals, pesticides, computers and computer accessories, automobile and small truck tires without rims, and more.
Items that cannot be accepted are radioactive waste, explosives, business-generated waste, household trash and compressed gas or containers. Products need to be kept in their original containers, and chemicals should not be mixed.
