Train tickets available

The Norman Transcript

NORMAN — Amtrak’s Heartland Flyer still is offering tickets for OU/TX fans wishing to avoid the weekend’s traffic. The ticket price is $55 each. The Heartland Flyer affords passengers a luxury cafe car with snacks, drinks and adult beverages.

The train will depart 8:25 a.m. Friday from the Santa Fe Depot in Oklahoma City and will arrive 2:10 p.m. in Dallas Union Station. The returning train will depart 2:25 p.m. Sunday and arrive 9:39 p.m. in Oklahoma City. Regularly scheduled stops in Norman, Purcell, Pauls Valley, Ardmore and Gainesville will be included in the trip.

Seating is limited. To book tickets, visit Amtrak.com or call 800-USA-RAIL. A discount of $55 is applied upon checkout.
